Hi All,
I have owned a couple of TVR's - Chimera & Tuscan speed 6. I love TVR's but as they are quite specialist they have always been a bit of a pig to sell privately (small target market & people want a warrenty). As I change my car very regularly this is problematic as when I decide I want a change I just want to get on and change it.
I want a T350 or a Sagaris but don't think I can be bothered to source a good one, get a warrenty on it, then go through the hassle of potentially waiting ages to sell it again. I accept I will loose some money during ownership (the depresiation) and will have the cost of running/maintaining it - this I am fine with.
So it got me thinking why cant I find any companies that will rent me one for the cost of the depresiation + a bit more. I.e if the depresiation is £3k in 12 months why dont they charge me £5k (or what ever makes the business model viable). Then all I have to do is run and maintain it but know after the agreed time period I can just give it back. If they know when they are getting it back with some notice they could be selling the next block of usage for a quick change over.
Any ideas/suggestions who offers an affordable service like I have described please comment.
By the way I know there are loads of companies who will rent me a super car for the weekend but £hundreds per day is not viable for longer periods. I need a bloke who has a sagaris and doesn't use it much that I can rent some time of it off him! I've also thought of a split ownership but I can't be bothered with splitting the purchase cost of the car with 1 or more people, I just want to rent with no capital expenditure.

We met a chap at the last TVR Spa track event who owned a TVR car rental business, I cant remeber his name but he was from the Devon region, you could try asking the local regional club etc.
I will add - he stated at the time that he would never rent one of his TVR's to us lot at the event after he had seen our sealous driving techniques
