M400 ARB Drop Links

Search Down again, anyone know what these come off?

Don't know but I remember somebody posting some pictures of bespoke replacements quite a while ago.

I've spent some time trying to find what car the drop links come from, but without success. They must be used on some mass market car.

Post up any info you have ie. pictures, markings, dimensions and I'm sure someone could identify them.

Think so! One of mine broke, welded it

Perhapse Noble could design them to last a bit longer, lasted 2 Years & 2000 miles, advisory on MOT "Dust Cover Deteriorated, but preventing the ingress of dirt" IE rubber perished, so any worse would have failed the MOT this only came in this year apparently, only the M400's have an ARB anyway so they must be off something can't think they would design their own for a low volume car

The drop arm or the lever attached to the bar itself? I had the latter as did Tom (Bigsmiffy) I think.

The arm with the holes in it.

The Drop arm with the 2 balljoins on it, I've also already done the job of welding a new arm (the bit with the holes in it) back on when it snapped, welded back on to the complexly designed ARB, IE a straight bit of pipe!!!!

Yes, where it wraps around the bar, its been fine since and done 10k miles.

This is a poor quality image that I grabbed from on online auto parts seller to use as as example. It appears to be the same color as the M400 links, and to have the same construction. It may not be the right length, but it's close. I don't know if the threads are right.

In any case, it gives me hope that we'll find the car Noble grabbed the links from. This part is about US$30 each.

Why not just make some up - threaded rod or tube with decent greasable rod ends and bolts to replace the ball joints?

I did make a set of adjustable links using quality Aurora rod ends, but they started loosening up and clanking after a couple of months. I'll try again with a set of these:

i heard the m400 front arb makes the car understeer and the thing to do is remove it to improve handling

has anyone got any pics of it
