Today, I Managed to Fit....
Discussion
Oh man! Id intended to take pictures for Nutz, but it was dark by the time I got back and Ive just moved it to my girlfriends boot. I had to bring it here as I realised that I couldnt get it out of my car on my own at home...
The welder was ex-disply and bought unboxed, so that fitted easily in the boot.

I just bought a gas/nogas Clarke EN110 for well under £200 with no box etc and it had a 4.5 kg spool of wire too.
I managed to get that in the wifes Corsa (her MX is SORN for the winter).
My Clarke Pro 90 died and I am assured its just the circuit board at £45 thats faulty but I am not going to bother as I might find that its more.
With the roof off a sports car is amazingly useful for carrying all sorts of things.

The welder was a by the way - its the compressor that I was impressed with. End-on it fitted with about an inch to spare and I just kept it off the handbrake stretching the seatbelt over the furthest corner.
I think that you get a little more headroom with the soft top, but it was close with the hard top on, in fact, I had to squash the box down a little to line up the catch...
