Get a scooby for a daily wink

Totally different cars. Do you need 4 seats?

hi paul i was looking at the p1's but noticed nearly all of them have had a engine rebuild? trying to find a all rounder car. inc 4 seats. think the evo fits perfect. but not having test drove one. was wondering what they are like.the s2000 is a blast but sadly only 2 seats.

I don't know much about the older ones. Personally I would rather a newer car so would have a newage shape. The servicing intervals are more frequent with the Evo, however, all of this pales into insignificance if you consider the elephant in the living room - MPG wink ... If you drive either the Evo or Impreza hard the fuel you get through can be eye watering...

For what it's worth, the Evo is widley regarded as being the better car.

It's a totally different ball game. You're essentially looking at two ultimate iterations of their form. The S2000 is the fantastic sports car with the amazing engine, the Evo shares the top of the 4WD rally rep podium with the Impreza. The Evo will be vastly different to the S2000. The power and speed generated is effortless, though working for boost may not be too alien to you as it's very much like powering on for a surge of VTEC power!

The Evo will provide effortless grip. I daresay your daily route times will increase, though you may not find it quite as exciting. Personally, I'd find it hard to choose between the two cars. I'd probably lean towards the Evo as thats more 'my thing', though the excitement of a beautifully engineered Japanese sports car that revs like a motorbike is also attractive!

I would bet that running an Evo 8 will be more than an S2000. I had a DC5 Integra so similar age and engine to the S2000 and it was the most reliable and cheap on consumables car I had ever owned.

Having been out in an Evo 9 FQ-330 in the snow yesterday I can say that the power and grip is very impressive. However the owner did say that while it wasn't as boring as his old M3 you sort of just let the car do the work of keeping everything straight and you just point where you want to go.

With Summer coming I would keep the S2000 and pick up an Evo in the autumn since we all know it is going to be nice this year and you can have the roof down right? Right?

Im in a similar situation I own an evo 8 fq340mr and I am considering selling it for an s2000 or a supra. I know neither will be as fast as the evo on the road however I am more interested in fun! Im not saying the evo isnt fun its superb amazing acceleration with incredible handling but ive always wanted to own an s2k and a supra so it has to be done :P The only thing im worried about with an s2k is it will feel to slow in comparison.

OP, make sure you get an MR version! The damping and spring rates are far superior, and actually better for daily driving as well.
