Stiffening up my knob (ooo-errr)
Discussion
Forgive the Finbarr Saunders tomfoolery, but I couldn't resist it. I have a problem with the volume control on my Strat - it's a bit too easy to turn, with the result that I'm forever knocking it up too much or down too much when I'm playing.
I thought about putting something between the base of the knob and the scratchplate to add a bit of friction, but it seemed like a bit of a bodge to me. I don't really want to replace the volume pot as (a) it's a lovely silky crackle-free pot, and (b) it's one of those EMG David Gilmour spec setups.
