Hi My first post so be gentle with me.

I own a 1999 Boxster since September, treated myself after divorce lol. Recently when I am driving and I go to change gear there is resisentence and lack of power changing up or down gears. If I switch off the engine and start up again, it seems to clear the problem but I can't keep doing that down the A3 on the outside lane for example. It has happend a few times now. Anyone know what it could be, is it serious or an easy fix?

Thanks for your help.

Ned

Welcome. My best guess would be a MAF fault (Mass Air Flow meter) but you need it on Porsche diagnostics to find out. There's a Wiki at the top of the forum front page listing lots of specialists around the UK who should be able to do this for you.

Hi Thanks

There is a Porsche specialist in the village I live in Ripley. I will give them a go, just hope nothing serious. Any idea on cost if it is a MAF?

If it is the MAF you can attemp to clean it yourself.

A new one I think is circa £150
