I am to ride shotgun down to the le mans classic in a chimp (guess who !!) in convoy with another chimp and a 911 porker (i think)

Couple of weeks before the wedgefest (so hopefully will have plenty of "pub ammo" for fellow wedgers).

hope the windows work (will need to circulate air somehow)

Looking forward to it actually (would love to go in the wedge but.......hey ho)

Anyway, has anyone got a 6"" holesaw for me to cut holes in the footwell so's i can stretch my feet out !!

You'll probably need a jig saw to cut the roof off too, seeing as it's chimpafrolicbolicholic (whatever she goes by now hehe) Wouldn't want the wind to spoil her hair you knowsilly

Keeping fine mate, hope you are too.

As for booking in, mine and juniors room (junior eek 6'2" and 15st of northan beef) was booked way back last Oct when Andy sorted the details.

Noticed a lacking of your name though, and ya chimp driving buddy. (he's a goodun really, he can't help his downfalls)

Ton up, i'll be there mate no worries. Just need to thomas cook it!

May even extend the invite to the hairdresser as he's piloting the le mans gig.

(tho i'm thinking of booking a single room as he gets a bit amourous after a few ales.)
see you there

Fancy a few outings this year, so (god willing car is fit) will be looking for some "gatherings to attend"

Campbell, missed you at the revival, so you never know at le mans. !!
Camping somewhere, and really looking forward to it.
keep in touch nearer the time.

Hi Gavin

I have an event you can come to, it's over the May bank holiday weekend. At Rushden just of the A6 north of Bedford. Its a three day show and you can come to any day you like!
I am planning to be there myself for all three days, (well thats depending on how I progress in getting out of hosptial) I have booked space for 10+ cars so room even for a hair dressers car as well! biggrin

Nice one Andy.
Seen your post re events. Great idea mate !!

If they are posted, at least people know and can plan in advance.
Will look into that bank holiday one at Rushden.
Lots of little gems to tempt us out
Classics on the Green (croxley) is a neat little do too....not model or make specific and as casual as you like, which is why i like it...minis, heralds jags marinas beetles corsairs even the odd volvo......was even a pantera there last year.
No snobbery, and always a good turn out...its not a "car show" if you know what i mean.

look forward to the listings.

I'm heading to the LeMans Classic too; planning to take the 350i in convoy with folks from work (Porker/Jag/Lotus/VX220)

I thought it was after the Wedgefest tho! We're heading out on the 5th July.

Campbell, it would be great to get two SEACs out there but I think I'd be pushing my luck! I'm aiming for Wedgefest to get it on the road but LeMans... possibly a shakedown run too far!

It would be great to have the 2 cars there at Le Mans nut yoiu just need to keep working on it and keep updating the thread and its been great reading it and seeing how you are getting on with the car as ive been working on my car for the last 8 years fixing and upgrading major probs with the car due to age or lack of proper maintenance before we got it.

Would be good for all to meet up at Le Mans if we can
