I was wondering this, I cleaned my car last weekend and being honest haven't used it that much but it is absolutely caked in salt since the gritters have been out.

It's easy to get it off the body but during a regular at home wash how do you get all of it off bar lying on your back and squirting the underneath?

Take it to the petrol station jet wash (so my road doesn't turn into an ice rink) and blast everywhere.

you can get a underbody lance for most jetwashers , take some time flushing the arches and floor pan out best you can

if youre keen jack it up and have the wheels off once spring is here

Can they get under a fairly low sports car?

It can get under my RX7 smile

Come the time it's a little warmer I'll jack it up as mentioned above to get a little more anal in the cleaning smile

Don't shove the jetwash up there!

be careful if you have underseal as some jet washes are pretty ferocious. If you do it quite regularly a garden hose with an adjustable nozzle can be pretty effective without blasting the underseal away.

I jack the car up and snow foam, then key wash the underside. Same for the arches. Desperate to wash it now but don't want anyone slipping on the inevitible ice frown
