I picked my Tamora up yesterday, and all is good, apart from a side light bulb that needs changing.

Which leads me to an interesting one.

Can anyone recommend a small enough trolley jack to fit under the Tamora?

Many thanks for any advice you may be able to give!

You need one of the Clarke aluminum ones... Expensive but cool. Look in Machine Mart.

I got two of them. Fit fine under Sagaris. Make yourself a couple of wooden blocks to sit on the rubber pad to minimise any damage to chassis from the metal surround.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I couldn't justify the expense for only occasional use, so I made up a couple of wooded plinths, only a couple of inches high, that I drive the Tam onto. I just used some old bits of 6 x 2 and put an angle on the leading edge and screwed on a strip of wood to the trailing edge as a stopper for the tyre.

A standard jack then fits underneath, which I already had! Job done.

I just bought the Clarke one from machine mart; pricey yes, but it's the cheapest around that will do the job from what I could find. Nice piece of kit though, recommended.

Drive it onto a couple of planks - then any trolley will fit!

I have this one and it will go under the car but it’s only down side is you MUST be vary careful when letting the car down. You need to release it very, very, very slowly or it will drop like a suicide jumper. I would go for the twin valve option which is much more controllable and as ever more expensive. I think Sealey and the like do them.

Where are you based Allan??

The cheap one (£19.99) that Lidl's have on special offer this week fits under my Cerbera perfectly

I use an ice hockey puck as a jacking pad.

This would be ok if you added a rubber pad.

That's what I use.

The Ally one from machine mart lasted a year, the cylinder broke in half and the part to fix it was about the same cost as the jack!

A Yellow Pages infront of each tyre, inch forward up onto Yellow Pages, then any trolley jack should now slide underneath.

I have a 2 tonne one from Halfords which was 30 notes and works fine with the above.

Slight topic shift - Are there any central jacking points on the T-cars so that you could raise the front / back rather than a side?

It seems unlikely and, given how low the cars are, getting a jack far enough under the front would be impossible.
