Can anyone recommend some good roads near South West London?

Depends where you are - if near the A3 there are some not bad roads just out of Weybridge if you go over the M25 and wiggle your way to Woking and back to Chobham. I used to do that sort of route quite a bit when I lived there. Further down the A3 there are half decent roads not too far out of Haslemere where I am.
Also Dunsfold, coming off the A3 at Milford, loads of quiet windy roads around there.
I think because the M25/A3 are the obvious routes some of the roads just into Surrey shouldn't be half bad and too busy on an early morning.

The best roads you will find under an hour from SWL are down near Pirbright, B3012, fantastic flowing bends, lots of camber changes, gradients, very little traffic, a hidden gem.
