Hi all, I'm hoping to get some good tips and knowledgeable advice regarding limited mileage policies!
I am new to the UK as I moved here from Ireland in summer '11. Hence, no NCB.
I currently drive a boring company car and am looking for something a little more special (on a budget) to drive at weekends.
My question is, what are the best companies to talk to about this? I filled out an online form for a quote on an Alfa Romeo 75 among others and the figures were crazy as I have no NCB. Will anyone listen to the fact that I drive a company car and this is my primary mode of transport?
Are there any good brokers for classic/limited mileage policies?
Also, my age may have put quite a loading on quotes that I received as I am a mere 22.
Is anyone else in a similar position?
All help and advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if I have posted in the correct sub-forum, please move if I haven't. Thanks

You can get a letter from the company car insurer/broker stating the number of claim free years, most places should take this as proof of NCB, but I think it may be conditional on declaring you no longer use the company car.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I'm still keeping the co. car though so might not be a runner!
Thanks though

And it may be worth seeing if your Irish insurance company can give you a letter confirming you didn't claim. It won't be a proper NCB but a UK insurance company may look on it kindly.
