I'm not mad and it would possibly make financial sence for me in my own circumstances ( buying a used LHD is NOT an option for me ) whats involved and guess the costs ?

Is it possible to send a car back to Porsche ( Reading or Germany )to have this done.

Any help appreciated.

Technically possible. Costs massive, or down to just huge if you sourced used parts.
If its just a 997 (and not something that's rare) then it makes much more sense on every level to sell and buy the other side.

You need to replace fuel tank, steering rack, dashboard, heater system and associated ducting, carpet, trunk carpet and trim panels, Main/front wiring loom plus fusebox etc, brake, clutch, steering and fuel lines as a minimum. Possibly steering column and pedal set (I'm not near PET to confirm)
On top of that you need to switch brake system to other side of the car.

You able to guesstimate a price for that lot?

Thanks for the help, yeh, mad idea as I suspected. I had kinda hoped it would have been easier as I ve seen cars being built RHD/LHD on the same line in Zuffenhausen, especially now with world spec cars etc.

Oh well !

The cars are incredibly modular. It really is pretty impressive BUT you do need the right parts.
