Restyled Cerbie

Oh Man, did you see Motors last night on the telly, featuring 'improved motors'. What they done to the Cerb was enough to make me weep. Total and complete body wreaking exercise with horrendous add on's scoops wings an all. It really looked Bollocand yet the presenter was raving about a fantastic job.The engine had been nitro'ed which is about the only thing which some may say was good. Who the hell butchers great cars into nob mobiles.

apart from the bonnet and big gap in the front bumper I quite like that, reeks of a touring car to me.

I don't think the classic lines of the Cerb/Chim really benefit from bodykits/spoilers like a Suburu would.

I really hope that this example was already damaged at the front when he bought it because to cut those air holes into the front indicator pods like that on a 20k+ car must take some real bollocks.

Whilst I can't decide if I do or don't like it, It makes you wonder where they're going with the sagaris (looks like Edward scissor hands has valeted it)

I clicked on ollys link, yes thats the ugly basrd cerb. I mean what is that all about, I can understand this done to nova's and uno's but to ruin a cerb. I could just accept the rear wing if it works and the car is raced.

Around 1996 the 1st Cerberas came around. Time for a new fixed head TVR or a restyle? Please make it a nice follow up!

Yep, the famous 'Carisma' Cerbera. Quite a legend and rolling showpiece for the company. Impressive even if you don't like it!

Is that why you have a photoshoped picture of a cerb convertable in your profile?

I guess you've never heard of a Chimaera then?

I thought this was about re-styling anyway not power gains......

The Chim does not come with a yummie AJP8.
"The Chimaera was going to host the AJP8. This was an engine designed by Al Melling who'd had a hand in many race engines in the 1980's. Together with TVR, they set about designing a brand new engine and associated running gear. However development was taking longer than desired, so the trusty Rover V8 (tweaked by TVR Power) was slotted into the Chimaera with a capacity of 4.0 or 4.3 litres. Again in line with 'softening' the car, the 4.0 litre has a softer cam than earlier units, giving less harsh characteristics. A Rover gearbox, Sierra rear axle and a Quaife differential were employed."
