Need a new daily drive

Hi all

I need a new daily drive. Looking for something cheap and cheerful around £3k

Ideally something with 4 seats, engine size 1.8 or less (means free insurance)

I was thinking something like a MK4 Golf but thought id ask your opinions!

Seat FR, which is a 150bhp TDI. £200 on a re map and it 190bhp and shifts. I wish I had got this instead of the 110Tdi that I brought (re map to 130). loads of torque and good fun.

I got a ford focus 1.8 - 65,000 miles cost me under £1k. Had it for a year now - wife can take it up a brick wall for all I care! It is great having a car you just simply do not care about.
