please help .

Hi all im new to this forum , i need help and advise with my jeep . I had a fuel leak on the high pressure fuel pump , so i have found a second hand one and put it on yesterday . So after putting it on tryed to start the engine no luck she will turn over but not fire up the fuel filter is full and i can see fuel going throught the high pressure pump .there is some air in there however being common rail she should deal with that easy . Now before i put the new pump on she started fine even with a leaking pump , so i called the AA to see if they could help he came and put in easy start through the air intake and she wanted to fire but didnt ?????? he said it must be a pump elsewhere thats broken ? i think not as she started fine with the old pump .So either the new pump that has been tryed and tested before it came to me with warrenty is fualty or ??????
