Every year I say in the Autum I will get rid of the Porsche washer fluid , as it freezes and if you mix it with normal washer anti freeze it changes into a gel that won't spray. Why is it a premium brand car maker supplies a washer fluid that bloody freezes ( yes they put it in at servicing ).

My car is in a garage and the tell tail sign of the headlight washer is slightly higher than the off side one, meaning we are fooking frozen again mad oh I have shelf full of the ste as they give me some at every service .

They pester me every year to buy winter tyres, how about a de icer that will mix with their washer fluid confused

Give? wink

Fill the washers yourself before it goes in then they've no excuse to charge you for any more.

OK it's included in the service which you pay for, doh . My point is you can not add other makes to it and it freezes which seems a bit silly , as it gets cold occasionally here in the UK silly

you could always drain it and re-fill with your own brand. I then top it up before getting a service. QED

They gave me a bottle with my last service, funny enough. Yes, the service was free too.

I have found that a 30% solution of iso-propyl alcohol (available at all good chemists (or even Amazon) will protect down to -20'C and does not turn the Porsche screenwash into goop.

Easy - just put in double or triple the recommended quantity over the winter and revert to the leaner mix come spring. I've been using up a stockpile and so I'm using it in mine and the girlfriends daily drivers with no issues. smile
