Hey all,

Well the wedge is booked in for it's make over with a full re spray! Should hopefully be going in about mid feb and take about a month...very exciting!!

thinking about making some minor changes at the same time...maybe changing the front side lights to the vw clear ones (which is saw a while ago on someone's car) but the main change i am thinking is the exhaust.

I have the standard type on my 400 (single pipe) but stainless steel. Was thinking about having another pipe added on the otherside by modifying the rear section. I.e two pipes on the same rear section.

has anyone done this? Will this cause problems?

Cheers!

Yes was mine that had the twin exhaust, you have to cue into the boot to do it, but it was easy enough, was also mine that had the vw clear light conversion.will try to post a pic of both.

Hey Blaine! That is exactly what I am thinking of...

Did you connect them all up too?? Were the fog lights just for effect or did you use them with the spots?

Exhaust wise, how did it connect up? Who made it?

Cheers!!

I remember the car well when it lived in Sussex - that was one clean wedge.

Looked good in the twin exhaust guise but it must be said the wedges do sound fantastic with a single exhaust.

Like a fighter jet.

Name your poison : English Electric Lightning anyone ?

Here is my 450SE. Single down pipe after the manifolds, then splits into two. Custom built.

Lights......Lugers are indicators, middle is a blank, inner on vw was a fog light,I got some led fog light bulbs and used them for side lights, and also sorted pods so that they only came up on headlights.

Exhaust...single pipe under diff then split to either side, custom chrome in Nuneaton did this part the rest of the system came from badred wedge including the 4 into 1 manifolds.

Know exactly how you feel Blaine- I had to wait 3 yrs (and as many further owners!) before getting my 400 back!

That looks awesome Blaine, and the same on the modded 450!

Only concern with that set up is that it looks really low to the ground...any thoughts on making the rear piece I have into a twin exit? Would that work?!

I'm going to speak to a exhaust specialist tomoz and see what they say too!

To get around exhaust being too low use platfrom adj shocks & springs at back to lift up a few inches , did this on mine - much lower exhaust than 400se - and so far no clangs !

Hey all,got the wedge booked in for the exhaust to be made at the weekend-very exciting!

I need to choose a tailpipe but really not sure...

Was thinking about going for a rolled out one, staying with the standard 3 inch pipe...just to confirm, And I haven't got the car near my house at the moment to measure it, it is three inch the tailpipe isn't it?

What do you think of this??
