recognise the number plate from somewhere. Not sure if it was for sale on here recently. Looks in good condition.

Have a look here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-Griffith-Convertible...

Im pretty sure its an early 500. The fact that its a L reg, its got the 500 dash and cats too. The first 500's also came with the Rover gearbox.

Better description in eBay, but why would that site say it was registered as a 4.3

They are 17's can just read the tyre size, I believe someone has just put the 5ltr in at a later date and try to make it look like one as they are ford alloys

Car does look nice tho

That was my car I sold it 6 months ago to a guy in Bristol suprised to see it up for sale believe me that is one nice car it is a 500 although log book states 4280 did question this but apparently quite normal leaving the factory would question the cat D as although it was damaged to rear I did not think it was recorded.
This was a nice car with new seats and fully stainless interior although it has 10+ owners I am sure some previous owners must be out there

Just read Ebay ad 2 things spring to mind one is supposed damage to passenger side by indicator isnt true it was run in to at back and 2 only minor it is cobalt blue not imperial.
Quite sad to see it up for sale if i had funds would buy it back.If Sturt Gold aka yellowgriff is out there he can say how good it is as he did the repair.

Zooming in on the front tyre, might be wrong but looks like it.

Also very poor if it's been labeled wrong on two different sites, surly any one could read the difference between 15 16 and 17. Poor garage if they can't

Reg is a great must be worth a bobber two

Going back to the category D initially the car was too easily written off if it wasnt for Yellowgriff who saved her but I am sure when I spoke to the insurance company it was not logged as a category D when she was repaired hopefully Goldie can come along to confirm this
