We have spent the last 5 years staying in Houx Annexe but have changed to Houx this year. The atmosphere in the Annexe just isnt what it used to be, so decided to move along a bit; other friends stay in Houx and say its pretty good!

Houx is OK but it depends exactly where they put you! We have stayed there a few times over the years. Its good access to get into the Village there is a sort of cafe in the middle of the site which does chips and treacle they call coffee. Thing is there are lots and lots of tree stumps and roots. Sometimes they allocate you a pitch with a tree stump right in the middle of it! Just impossible to pitch a Tent, we have had some right rows with the marshals over this. Also the large concrete wall which surrounds the site is used as a toilet during the night and if you happen to be camped near it the smells get interesting frown As you know, you will also have to run the Gauntlet of the wheel spin mob and Beer throwers rolleyes Houx Annex used to be the party site, but staying there last year it was fairly calm!

Have to admit, since they have changed the Village and all the other building work going on, the place has lost its charm a bit frown But its in my blood and I will sit there with a bottle of red wine (or two) and remember the good times thumbup ..... Roll on June biggrin

I'm at houx annexe this year. When I last went in 2004 is was plenty lively enough for me but things change.

Something that concerns me tbh! First year on BSJ couple of lads got their iPod nicked just across the field. I guess best bet is to lock all valuables in the car at all times.

Does anyone know what Blue Nord is like on a sunday night when everyone starts heading home? Is there ever a crowd still staying over sunday or is it just dotted with a few late leavers?

Plenty of people stop over on the Sunday night, I would suggest after the race to go back to your campsite and stay there until you leave, Don't leave anything lying around. the campsites gets invaded by s looking for anything that people have left behind,

Just to add ! this isnt just a Le Mans problem, At the 6 hours of Silverstone, there was a couple of Danish (i think) lads camping at Whittlebury Park , and they went out for a meal on the Sunday night after the race, they returned to find their tent and all there gear had been pinched, including their flags they had on a pole.

So where ever you are camping on the Sunday night, don't leave it ..

Me plus 3 staying on houx annexe. We're all LMV's so thought we'd go in lively and back off next year if it's too much for us.

A couple people on here reckon its not what it used to be though. What's changed about it?

If your staying on HA, keep an eye out for a little black bloke (me), and 3 emo looking fkers (I call it emo anyway!) in a Jeff Koons replica 535d and come say hi!

Don't think we'd be hard to spot to be truthful!
