Cant see much in the way of threads on here about this car.
I am an ex 997 owner (some of you might remember) and I am considering one of these for my wife.
The dealer will take a letter of intent off me so I get my place for an early car, but other than that they cant really tell me anything other than there will probably be a couple of petrol engines and perhaps a diesel.

Anyone know anything over and above that? Anyone know if its going to be PDK'less like the Cayenne?

Info on the interweb seems to vary, though it has been spotted disguised as an Audi Q5 several times:

what a horrible idea.

v6 are the spawn of satan. horrible wrong shakey engines.

If you're going to have 6 cylinders, you want either a flat or a straight six.

I love PH for comments like this (I mean that, I'm not being sarky!) smile (don't read the stuff about diesel below lick)

I also had a Cajun-related conversation with my OPC around Christmas, I'm interested in the Cajun too, I think it would be a good mothership to my GT3. Very little information around though, everything is all very speculative. Irony is that by the time Cajun comes out the current Cayenne will be available for very reasonable money second hand especially in diesel form. Might end up nabbing one of those instead.

Does anyone have any idea where Cajun pricing will start? Cayenne starts high/mid-40s, so I presume Cajun will start low/mid-30s?

The options are probably going to be I4 engine or V6. So which is better... exactly so let's be realistic for a second eh :-)

Back on topic, I am guessing prices will start at £35k ish for the 4 cyl. I really hope they don't bother with the TFsi engine, I have an S3 with the latest one and its one of the worst engines I have ever driven. Noisy, rattly and so peaky its unreal. Just about ok in the S3 but not for an suv that's all about low down grunt.

So i am hoping for TT V6 diesel, at £40k ish. £5k for a few options and that would do me thank you :-)

Even better would be a forced induction petrol V6 and it sounds like that's a possibility but I expect top of the range Cajun Turbo would be £60k +.

I have a letter of intent with my local OPC for one of these for my wife for next year, so have been keeping my eye out for news, but not found much recently. I'm actually visiting another OPC next week for the service and MOT on my 911 so I will ask if they have any further information (but doubt it)!

My expectation is that the car will cost Audi Q5 money + £5k, so a starting price for a very basic spec of £35k or so up to £50k for a well-specced 'S' model and maybe £60k for a Turbo.
