Offset Minilite wheels in 6x15 or 7x15 on 3000M
Discussion
Hello,
before i will ask my question, i want to introduce myself:
my name is Chris, i am 28 years old and from Germany. I bought my first TVR (Chimaera) in Birmingham in 2008, sold it last year and bought a 3000M, which needs some interior restauration. Maybe someone knows my 3000M in Ford Capri lemon yellow, which was on ebay last may.
Futhermore the car should benefit from new tyres and rims. I want to order Minilites in 6x15 or 7x15 in UK, but i do not know the offset of this rims. Can anybody help me with this issue? Ideally someone driving this wheels on his/her 3000M/Taimar.
Thank you and best regards!
Chris

The "T" slots have about a 2mm negative offset (moving the tyre centre out from the car 2 mm)
My wheels are Pannasport 16 X 7 with a 6mm +ve offset. I use a 3mm (1/8") spacer on the front wheels. The front is the problem with the inside edge of the wheel well just thinking of touching the upper pivot of the vertical link (had to do a bit of grinding of the outer nut and bolt and the ears of the top mount on the wishbone). On the outside I had to grind a bit off the inward facing lip of the bonnet as the tyre just touched on very hard cornering.
If I remember correctly 0 offset would require a 1/4" spacer on the front.
