I have solved it!!!

I have noticed a lot of people get annoyed when sat at the traffic lights and the driver of the car in front is holding their foot on the brake. Thus causing their ridiculously bright LED brake lights to irritate you.

I spotted these in a local pound shop. As you can just about make out, its a small device that you are supposed to stick over your reversing light and it beeps when it detects that the reverse light is lit.

How about placing these over the brake lights of those annoying drivers or anyone you don't like for that matter!

If you can't cope with brake lights how do you manage with a car approaching you at night?

Actually I do get annoyed by this at night though, but mainly because some cars seem to have more lumens than Blackpool coming out of them....

its a bit misty out there now so the fog light retards are out in force so you wont see their brake lights just BIG RED LIGHTS from 3000 yards away

it might be because they're automatics. On mine you have to do that to stop it moving and if you were to put it in N or P then you'd still have to push the brake pedal before you could go into D.

Never had an issue with other peoples brake lights, the hoards of fking idiots who put their fog lights on at the first sign of mist on the other hand Must've been 3/5 cars with front fogs on on the M1 this morning, visibility was never worse than 300m or so.

Good question- it's no where near as smooth an operation as it is in a manual. You'd have to go through R aswell which causes fear to flash through the eyes of the driver behind .
I know it's not IAM but when I used to stop at lights etc in a manual, I never put my handbrake on and slipped into neutral- partly to keep everything quick and partly because I was told that if a car hit youu from behind and your handbrake was on, then the damage to you and your car could be worse- I'd just hold it on the clutch (and I've never burnt one out!).
In my auto it's a much more fluid process to come to a halt gently using the brake and then hold it for a few seconds before you move off again rather than press down on the brake again, go through the box, put the handbrake on, press the brake down again, take the handbrake off. move into D, ignore the horn of the irritated driver behind you and eventually move off..

I'm in the process of trying to source some reasonably-sized plastic mirrors to fit to the back of the sun visors so when I'm behind a driver who doesn't understand how to use his handbrake, I can lower them and give the driver a rear-view mirror full of what I'm being subjected to.

That way, he can't moan about my evolutionary limitations while his inability to operate a handbrake apparently thrusts him or her into genius territory.

I'm sorry, but the new mercs have ridiculously bright brake lights. Other than them, I've never in the slightest been dazzled by brake lights before.

Put on the handbrake? I not going to move my left arm off my knee for anyone, and my right arms staying on the wheel - that's why i brought an automatic you know
