Would problems arise from fitting 7.5 X 16 on the fronts?
Same tyre size as the rear or narrower?
Anyone done this?
Does the extra half inch at the front matter, ooer!!

Its been done. I'm sure someone will confirm, but I'd guess that a narrower tyre would be required. The rears are 225, vs 215/205 at front. As someone driving a non-PAS car with PAS size tyres I can tell you emphatically that the extra 10mm makes a lot of difference!
Visually though I'm convinced its worth it, and the 16" wheels are a lot easier to keep clean!
It has been done. I think Steve Guglielmi's place does it with spare 16" Chimaera wheels to fit bigger brakes.
I run 16 x 7.5 rims on the front of my V8S without any problems. Any particular reason you're doing it? You can get up to 300mm brakes in the 15" rims, and this is overkill for most people. But if you want to do it, there's no particular reason not to.
Pete's right.300mm and 4 pot calipers would be overkill for most, but would look better than the quite adequate standard 260mm ones.
Also the 16" rim looks better with the lower profile tyre then required.
I have 16" Griff 7 spoke front and rear like the later cars. The front tyres have to be 225/45ZR16 max and you need rack stops unless you fancy destroying the bodywork. Happy with end result but it does give a turning circle similar to a 747.

Ive got 16 wheels all round on my Chimaera great impovement on the standard set up in booth road manners and looks and also as said earlier can fit the bibber brakes.
