The Tuscan acquired a gouge in the front offside corner of the front bonnet over the weekend, while parked in the bays by the side of the street outside my house. Fortunately, a neighbour spotted a BT Openreach van reversing into it - apparently the driver had a look to see if there was damage, but didn't leave a note - however my neighbour took the van's registration number, so I'm planning to take it up with BT.

My question is - does anyone have recommendations for bodywork repair for a TVR near Edinburgh - I usually take the car to Hexham Horseless Carriages for servicing, but I was hoping there'd be somewhere nearer that could do a good job. Will need sanding down, filling (probably no new fibreglassing needed though) and respraying I guess. Colour is metallic silver - don't know the exact code / name but it isn't anything fancy like spectraflair.

Thanks,

Eric

My T350 is currently down at tvr power bodyshop. Who might be worth speaking too.

In Edinburgh I have used willowbrae for my lotus and a lot of the other lotus owners have used Steve Walker.

not much to add of any value, other than I hate c u n t s that would do that to another person's car and not leave a note. Grrrr.

Thanks for suggestions and messages, will have a look at those. I'm starting to get used to this now, it's the third time it's received damage while parked in about 4 months! Maybe I should get it repainted in reflex purple so that people can't miss it...

Hi Eric,
are you the Canaan lane Tusc? If so I watch out for your car, and was actually cycling behind you the other night thru M-side listening to the S6 music. Quality.
I'd get Tony/Richard from HHC to sort you out. They always come up trumps for me.

Hi JustyR,

I am indeed the Canaan Lane Tuscan. Pleased to provide a soundtrack for your bike ride! I usually go to Tony and Richard in Hexham, it just seemed like a long way to go for a small-ish job - however, I'll probably be going down that way in a few weeks anyway so might leave it until then.

Better get the car washed now I know people are looking at it paperbag
