997 911 prices in America!! Jeeeesus!
Discussion
Thinking about skipping across to the USA next year I (naturally) thought it prudent to look at car options; in particular, a 911 as a daily steed.
Blooody hell!! $50k for a leggy 2005 997 C2S!! I must be looking in the wrong place (autotrader.com).
Any suggestions on where best one might look for cars stateside?

Used prices are ridiculously expensive in the US at the moment. Forget about Porsche. Basic transportation is going to cost you $10k.
The 991 just got released here last week and the prices are perceived to be a lot more than the 997, so don't expect any bargain used 997s any time soon.
On the other hand, there are some good deals to be had for older 80s/90s vintage 911s.
The other big car classified site is cars.com.
