Nasty one on the M8 tonight
Discussion
Horrible driving conditions, and what looks like a nasty crash on the westbound section of M8 just around the M77 junction. As I passed tonight, there were multiple police cars and ambulances and they had a load of big boards up shielding the incident from other traffic.
Hopefully no-one's been seriously hurt or killed. Some of the conditions around that area today were wild.. really bad visibility, fog and freezing temperatures. Be careful out there!

Having watched the way people use the M8 over the last few nights I am unfortunately not surprised in the slightest.
Driving home last night I watched a queue of around 7 or 8 cars driving in the dark, at approx 80mph. None of them was more than a second gap from the other.
Temperature was around 1c.
There is of course always the chance that this accident tonight was caused by some other event and not due to poor driving but, it really does make me despair.

I was on the way to Braehead when I passed and there was someone on the deck in the hard shoulder. When I drove back over and hour later the screens were up in the same place. Doesn't look good
I passed when the screens were already up but you could see a body covered with a white sheet on the hard shoulder. Can't see anything about it on the news though.
