Possibly chop in the cough MX5 cough for an RX8 or nice S2 944. See how the early part of the year goes.

I'm finding myself tempted by the GT86/BRZ...

Unlikely to happen though as it's too new.

I have an idea it'll be something in the way of a proper classic or modern classic, ideally without a solid roof. But I've no plans to change just yet.

I went through a phase of wanting a B5 Audi S4..

But then decided an E39 540i was a far better idea biggrin

This I have now chucked out for the rather tempting idea of an E46 330ci, now that would be good fun..

But that's still more than half a year away for me to change my mind again!

Well I'll have a budget of what my Cupra sells for +£1k or so, so saying around the £3.5-4k mark.

Looking to get something still fun but a little more grown up... maybe my first RWD car. I have thought about an E36 M3 Evo but insurance seems stupid - can anyone help a 24yr old with a clean license and full NCB insure one for less than £2k? frown

The other choice is a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R, but that has money pit and RAC membership written all over it.

Your only option there is to move house, at 21 I could do it for much less..

Aston Martin V8 Vantage is what I'm leaning towards at the moment, maybe a Lamborghini Gallardo depending on how things are going. I've only just bought my current car in the last few weeks though so these are at least 3 years away as things stand right now.

I have no clue whatsoever. I'll probably be without a car for the next couple of years. However, my next vehicle will be a motorbike in naked V-Twin flavour.

Either a newer MX5 or an e36 or e46(49?) 3 series BMW. The requirement for extra seats will be the decider between the two.

BMW E46 330 coupe or Jaguar XK8. Or another XJ-S. Or Land Rover Discovery V8.

to be fair that price is only checking price comparisom sites, I think checking specialists could bump it right down. I have a diesel daily so limited mileage policies aren't out of the question.

I would understand the high insurance if I lived in a big town or city, but I live in a quiet, generally crime free village! Car insurance really is legalised theft.

Did you have much bother with your M3? Are the running costs as horrific as I am expecting? smile
