Le Mans Camping - European Championships on Satellite

I intend on buying a satellite set for watching the EC Football on my campingplace this year. Does anybody know on which free to air (preferably english spoken) channels it will be broadcast?

if you have a free to air box and a 65cm dish you will pick up all uk channels (BBC / ITV) etc, on astra 2 , I take it all football will be on the terrestrial channels.

You need to check what is shown on the big screens... I remember (just about!) when the Dutch were playing Russian and the 'jazz cigarettes' were being passed around... sitting with my Dutch mate with all their supporters...

That is also an option of course. But as I am in La Sarthe from the saturday before the Test Day, I don't think there will be much shown on the big screens :-) In the week from the testday till the opening of the campsites at the track, I need (or think I need) some diversion.

We've camped at Houx for the last few years and taken an analogue sky dish plugged into a projector for the football/canadian GP/anything else. One thing to be aware of is the trees and walls that are in and around Houx that may get in the way of the line of sight. http://www.dishpointer.com/ can be used to get the right direction and dish orientation but you are at the mercy of the scenery. I recall that the direction is towards the public road outside and right a bit.
We're at Chateau du Houx this year (which we're hoping is the bit on the other side of the wall at Houx) and will bring the stuff so if you don't have any luck, by all means join us.

Thanks for the tip of the website and the generous offer! I used that site to check the azimuth and elevation of the satellite dish, and indeed, it's pointing directly to Chemin aux Boeufs. This means that the trees are most likely to be in the way. I think I'll wait until I get my tickets and then check on which pitch I am on. If I am on the same pitch or closeby as last year, then I don't think I'll buy the satellite dish!
