This Avensis i've got is great for technology.

It's a hire car, the engine is the 2.0d. Its not that economical but it pulls well.
Anyway, the integrated sat nav is amazing. Touch screen, DAB digital radio, reversing camera and i figured out the other day how to play the 300 songs on my phone, through the bluetooth system with no loss of quality at all.
Im such a geek when it comes to technology, and hate having a car which doesnt have some sort of shiny tv screen on the dash and a load of other gadgets.
My next car is probably going to be a 3 series, A4 or V50. Finding one in budget with xenons, nav and other toys is a nightmare

tty electronic push-button handbrake, which annoys me.I have a 2001 Avensis CDX as a daily driver, which I guess was top of the range back in the day. Frankly, I'm pleasantly surprised at the technology and kit it has for an older car. Sat Nav, 6 disc autochanger, a very good trip computer, Stability Control (VSC), steering wheel audio controls, leather, fake wood etc. Also, it's very easy to maintain by myself, it's like they were designed to be worked on easily and cheaply. For a daily (pre)shed, I'm very happy. 42-45mpg for my working week is pretty good too, especially for a 2.0 petrol.
