Hi guys, I'm new here but have a quick question.

I'm looking to get a new clutch for my car as its on its way out. The car is a Honda Civic 1.8 VTi (MB6)

Its currently my daily but I am in the process of turning it into a track/weekend toy. I am looking at an F1 racing stage 3 clutch as tegiwa do them for £165 and they can take up to about 320bhp which is more than enough as I'm aiming for around 230-240 NA with the possibility of going boosted at a later date.

Does anyone have any experience of this clutch and if so is it good or bad.

Also as the box will be out I will probably change the flywheel too. Thinking either fidanza aluminium (3.4kg) or the fidanza chromoly (4.4kg). I heard horror stories about the ring gear coming off the ali flywheels as its apparently only an interference fit. how common is this?

Thanks for your advice in advance.

remember you are going to use it as a daily so i doubt you want a heavy clutch that's either on or off in traffic gets on your tits trust me i'd go for a paddle clutch thats similar to standard or stage 1 or whatever

The stop start traffic bit is a fair point but something that wouldn't bother me hugely and apparently the stage 3 retains a 'close to stock' pedal feel. at the moment I'm just after opinons on there quality etc, if they are deemed any good then I will assess which one I need. Also the other reason I'm edging towards the stage 3 is that the cost difference between stages 2 and 3 is about 10-15 quid, and if I buy a stage 2 then decide a stage 3 is needed I will be £170 out of pocket where as sacrificing stop start traffic drivablility (which i rarely do much of) to save that money seems a better idea to me.

Thanks for your input though.
