964 Cat Bypass /power hikes etc

Had a quick look thru the archives couldnt find exactly the answer I was looking for........here goes

Cat Bypass ..who does the pipes and how much, any MOT probs on a 91 J C4?

Any other cheap power mods??

Call Andy Fearns at AMd in Bicester 01869-323205. He has just done my car. It probably gave another 16BHP but mine has hot film etc too. Mine put out 304BHP with Cup pipe, Cat By-pass, Hot wire, new engine top end etc.

Cost you need to ask him 'cause I had other work done

Generally cat bypass & chip is 1st step, depending who you see & their rolling road usually expect to see 275-290 ish area from a good 250 lump.

(I can get you a good deal in 964 roock chips & cat bypass pipe- with lamba probe hole- unlike some cheapo jobbies)


Hot film is a bit of tougher one, mainly coz it doesnt always work, (stock engine has to be bang on the button power wise) but it can pip the car to the 300bhp level or just over, pricey way of getting about 15bhp tho tho & purely IMHO I feel it looses some of the 964 character in the process- esp on RS's, hotfilm =more linier power delivery, & masks the normal 'on cam' feel.

Beyond that you need to be looking at Motec conversions and/or big money engine upgrades.
