Paid Driving Research Participants Required - Leeds
Discussion
Hi all,
I am a research intern at the Institute for Transport Studies of the University of Leeds conducting a study aiming to evaluate the interaction of non-users of technology with driver assistance systems.
In order to complete the study, we require participants who fit the following criteria:
• Aged 18-35.
• Regular drivers.
• Non-users of any form of in-car technology/driver aids e.g. SatNav, Cruise Control etc
• Preferably casual/non commercial computer users who don't own a smartphone
Volunteers will be interviewed while trying out a desktop driving simulator which provides information to the driver. Sessions will take place at the volunteer's convenience at the University of Leeds and should last roughly one hour.
Participants will be paid £20.
If anyone is interested in volunteering or knows somebody who fits the criteria and who may be interested in taking part, please contact me via a personal message, at d.j.gillett@leeds.ac.uk or on 0113 343 1792.
Thanks,
Daniel

I'll happily do it.
I do have cruise control and a smart phone though, and ESP and TCS and ABS. But no sat nav. I generally don't like change, so I'll probably whinge and complain if you want to make cars have silly voices telling you the road is slippy or floating holographic maps telling people where they should know where to go to start with
What simulator do you have by the way?
Are you in the Mechanical Engineering building?
Cheers
Dave
