Please put my jobs in order of priority...
Discussion
Some small jobs to do, some big, some needed more than others.
What do you guys think....my list in no order of preference...and not necessarily all this year, they are all to be done by choice not necessity...
Front Splitter
Rear spoiler (mk2 s spoiler on mk1 bootlid – don’t like the mk1 s spoiler)
HID’s
Diff change to 3.73
Upgraded cam cover (Str8 six version – small lobes to drip oil onto followers)
Window clips
Bump steer mod – str8 six
Hinged bonnet (have the hinges already, just the gas struts and accessories to do)
Off for my service next month so if thats all good some of these will follow....

I too want to do the hinged bonnet mod'. I've got the hinges from Mr.Chips on here - just waiting to get some warmer weather in order to do the grp work on the bonnet around the hinge plate area(stregthening) ...and to pluck up courage!
The HID on the dipped beams is another item on my wish list. Up at the NEC in November a company called www.hidcity.co.uk had a stand and their H7 kits looked good value and quality. Better than an ebay item I feel, as at least they have a business address in the UK. A mate bought an H4 kit from them for his Chimaera and installed it a month/6 weeks ago without any glitches.
Personnally, I think the Mk2 rear spoiler was a retrograde step as when it rains a puddle always collects at the low points. The Mk1 S spoiler has drain slats which allows MOST of the water to drain. OK, you get a bit in the low points at the rear of the boot opening, but on mine it's well below the rubber seal level - so not an issue IMO. However, I guess it's always down to the individual.
To prioritise, I gues it's how you feel about the handling...and to address that first. Then I think I'd go for the HID swap...at least on full beam with HIDs you've got vision commensurate with the car's performance
My 2p's worth any way.

I've had a cheap chinese ebay HID kit on my Tuscan dipped beam for about 3 years now without any issues. Quality was great and fitted easily.
Re the spoiler, I've been looking at the Mk2 S ones for my Mk1 but I'd have to remove the wings at either end as I think they look a bit ridiculous. I want something along the lines of a Jag XKR shape curving down to meet the boot at the ends. Have you seen the mouldings TVR Dean is producing?

Thanks for that Nick, i will check out that link, i had heard that HIDS4U were also pretty good so will do some comparison. I know plenty of people have tried the cheap eBay kits and it been fine, but something makes me unsure - i guess its easer to deal with a UK firm should anything go wrong.I too want to do the hinged bonnet mod'. Not sure im thinking if the right spoiler then - mk2s - the small lipped one? I hadnt realised that they collected water. I wish TVR were still going - maybe a rear lower diffuser could be made to have the same affect without ruining looks!!!
Im with you on the bonnet mod - i dont want to freeze - or try and do the glassing work when its so cold...

I thought the mk2 s spoiler was the smalle one - the mk1 s spoiler the bloody huge thing that i really dont like? I have seen the ones at Fibreon - think they are the same as the TVR Dean one? think i have seen them on eBay or classifieds here?Re the spoiler, I've been looking at the Mk2 S ones for my Mk1 but I'd have to remove the wings at either end as I think they look a bit ridiculous. When you say easy to fit - the HIDS, is it plug and play - no wiring loom mods or relays from the battery??
I like the XKR spoiler too...havent really looked into whether anything similar is available...
There was a choice with Mk2s S's big or small boot spoiler ... All convertibles were only offered with the small lip because the designer refused to have something that collected a pint of water either side, non S Mk2s had small spoiler(but there will be an exception!!) and optional FOC option on 'S's to have the large one.

HID kit was plug and play with decent quality connectors. The only manual bit is mounting the ballasts somewhere. When you say easy to fit - the HIDS, is it plug and play - no wiring loom mods or relays from the battery??

Ffrom that list, i'd do the HIDs and window clips first. Not sure what's actually happening with the recent proposed MOT changes, but it's worth keeping the old bulbs as well just in case.
Then do the splitter/rear spoiler and bonnet all at the same time. From my experience so far, the bonnet is a messy/dusty job best done whilst the weather's a bit nicer, and you'll be glad of it being warm enough to degrease/clean the bonnet/engine bay in the warmth. And do it when you have an extra pair of hands available. This seems to be more forthcoming when it's sunny! (P.S. Anyone around next week to help with mine
)On the spoiler front, I've always liked the fluid lines of the mk1 without any spoiler to be honest, but the smaller mk2 one would probably look pretty good.
Small mk2 spoiler
Mk2 S spoiler (aka, the massive water holding whaletail that looks kinda stupid but awesomely ridiculous in equal measure) P.S. I'm a fan.
