It's slippy out there folks

Just a quick warning to anybody that hasn't left the house yet, the roads are seriously slippy in places this morning and those spots are almost impossible to spot.

Yep everywhere looks wet, but its actually black ice, many accidents being reported on the radio on the way in.

Heard from my brother this morning who left the car at home and walked to work because the ice was so bad! Hopefully this cold snap will be gone sooner rather than later!

Agreed - still not fun in places this morning.

I covered over 400 miles on the roads yesterday and the worst/ scariest bit of my journey - walking from my drive to the house when I got home!

My drive was like glass and isn't exactly flat and having had my last car slide off the drive once (without me in it!) in similar conditions, I decided to move it and park it on the street instead...
