Before respraying my chim I would like to rectify the bootlid issue.
This has been discussed before but i could not find a definative answer.
We are aware that there are dozens of 98 chims (mine included) with the right side of the boot not closing properly.

This has been put down to the hydraulic strut or Bootlid mould, my theory is that it is probably the body mould (being larger than the bootlid it is more prone to be foul of the tolerances that are set and distortion) which sits lower on the right side; perhaps tvr decided to run with it rather than scrap the body shell.(I'm sure tvr would have disgarded faulty bootlids).

To qualify my theory i would like to fit a new bootlid fom a chim that is known to fit correctly. (fitting a new body shell would just be a little bit ott).

Has anyone tried this successfully?
