Tricky one - at the end of the day they legally met their requirements of moving you from A to B. I'd agree that £30 is fairly shonky, and if you feel strongly about it then let them know that's not suitable.

As YYZ-LHR is a night flight, I guess they don't consider it a big problem.

I've just sent BA some comments about my recent trip where I was only able to check-in online for 1 of my 4 flights (BA/AA then AA/BA), so we ended up with rubbish seats. They merely said thanks for letting us know we'll take note and review in the next meeting (or something along those lines).

Shoddy performance.

I'm staggered at the number of crappy reviews they get on Skytrax for their Business/First offering.

Not the airline they used to be.

Surprisingly* in this competitive world*, airline service seems to be deteriorating - there's only a few who do actually GAF.

* Or not - profit-levels for most scheduled carriers are wafer-thin and the 'alliances' have reduced true competition to 2 or 3 carriers on each major route.

I suffered partial failure of the entertainment system on Air New Zealand LA to London in business class. Cabin was full. They gave me cash vouchers which could be put towards another ticket or redeemed. I cashed them in ang got about £70

didn't realise causing a fuss would work. i have a knack of being in the only seat with no sound or a snowstorm on screen.

You'd be surpirised how much fuss I can make when someones at fault and I get a sniff of freebies laugh the last thing they want on a packed flight is a passenger making an extended reasoned, calm and justified complaint

I flew a BA flight a few months ago that didn't have an on-demand video system. It's been so long since I've seen a plane without that I just assumed they'd all been upgraded! It sucked but it made me realise how good we have it now.

I got upgraded on VA from premium economy to upper, but the upper entertainment system wasn't working - bit of a dilemma but I decided to stay put in the upper seat.

Do you mean VS? They did give free flights out if the IFE failed
