Whats you're experience and how long to heal + skin grafts?
On tuesday night I was boiling a pan of wax (for woodworking/sealing green wood - before anyone sugests I'm into devient sexexual practices!!!!), it caught fire and muggins here decided to take it off the heat. Pan aflame and quite warm so I dropped it. In the coure of dropping the pan a significant amoun of said wax attached itself to my thumb, back of hand, index & second finger of my right hand.

3 hours in A&E, visit thier clinic y'day & going back this morning. Looks likeI will be needing plastic surgery and multiple visists to the clinic. been told not to drive

Any advice appreciated.

Dick

ps Did I mention it smarts a bit?
pps Yes, I have already been called a stupid c**t and had the mother of all bkings from the wife, mother, sister, various nurses, Barmaid at local and various mates. Apparently sympathy is a bit thin on the ground ATM.
ppps Been told not to drive or use a computer - Typing this whilst SWMBO getting ready to drive me to A&E

Someone dropped boiling hot water on my foot while I was working. This picture is about a month afterwards. Bloody hurts, I agree. I couldn't drive for 3 months (not on the advice of a doctor, I just couldn't due to pain)...prescription codeine didn't touch the pain and made me dizzy so I had to make do with paracetamol. The GP didn't have much of a clue and said he thought it might need grafting but didn't refer me even when it got infected, anyway it's all fine now.

All healed now, it's scarred but not quite as bad as I thought.
