RR Vogue starting

I have a 2009MY Vogue. It will start without the brake pedal being depressed. Is this usual? I thought all autos needed brake pressed before they would turn over. Is yours the same?

I have a mk 3 range rover it will start without putting your foot on the brake but you can't put into drive without putting your foot on the brake, it wont start without it being in park.

Neither my current D3 nor previous FFRR needed a foot on the brake to start.

OK, thanks, my Disco 4 needed foot on brake to start, hence the question.

10MY-> D4, RRS and FFRR require the brake pedal to be depressed before being able to start the engine.
