Hello,

Having been intiated into attending F1 with a rather soggy camping trip to Spa last year we have decided to do Hungary this year.

Flights, tickets etc all booked - It's just hotels now. Does anybody have any good hints on places to stay or stuff I should know?

Ben

Budapest is a great city and reasonable prices as they use their own currency (euros are excepted though)can't reccomend any particular hotel we (renault) stayed at the sofitel in the city next to the Danube. Its about 20min drive to the circuit from the centre of the city most of the hotels are in or around the centre as its just motorway to the circuitand not much else.
Please be aware they push the price of everything up for the gp so book asap and book an airport to hotel taxi shuttle as they are a lot cheaper than normal taxi's( 30 min drive from airport to city)
If its a lads no girls kind of trip do not go into strip clubs etc.You WILL get ripped off they are mafia run and to be avoided by tourists at all cost's.Other than thats its great place and one of the best circuits from a fans point of view (much like spa).
Let me know if you need any other info

Richard.

I usually stay at Kempinskis if there's one in the city. This is where we stay.
