Convert mp3 to CD format?

What software do I need for this?

My in-car head unit doesn't do mp3, and I have a load of mp3 stuff a friend has given me, and I can't play it on anything but my computer. Help!

I use Media Player and choose the "record to CD" option.

I think that it does all the converting for you, but then I'm no techno master of all things computer...
