any Leica M9 / M9-P owners here? I am a big Leica fan, currently owning a few film Ms and 2 Digital M9s. Photography is a lot more enjoyable for me after switching from DSLR (have a 1Ds III & 5D II) to rangefinder. please share your thoughts and experience of the M!

My initial thoughts were "How much?!?!", now they're just "wish I had one of those, and a Noctilux.".

Yea the Digital M does cost a bit but film ones are quite reasonable like the M3, M4, M6.... The Noct is simply amazing, at aperture 0.95 its still sharp as hell and of course it comes with a crazy price tag.

Hello, I have had an M9 since the day London got its first deliveries. It's my fave camera to use for all the obvious reasons of how it properly involves you in the picture capturing process and makes your skills matter a hell of a more. I also prefer the rendition you get with leica glass to any other digital syste, nikon/canon/H4D/phase/LeicaS you name it. Leicas lens manufacturing philosophy is very different to other people's (esp. the japanese) and the look you get is quite unique. Its not something you can replicate in post either. I used to have the F1 noctilux as well which was enormous fun.

I have an M3. I love using it, doesn't even have a lightmeter so "guessing" the exposure with the sunny 16 rule is part of the fun.

I keep meaning to buy the Voightlander f1.1 50mm. Anyone got any experiences with it?
