Anyone else been?

I took my wife there for her birthday and it was shockingly bad, wondered if it was just me.

I am not going to go on a tirade, but as an example they gave her a little box of 6 chocolates when we left, they 'use by' date on the bottom was two days previous!

Anybody had a nice meal there?

Went there once and it was truly awful. I don't know what it is about the Connaught, but it's always bad, whoever the chef is.

I went for lunch in 2010. It was ok, but not amazing.

What probably made it amazing at the time was the amount of wine consumed

I'd not go back though. Not good enough.

Glad it's not just me then, WTF it gets 2 Michelin Stars I will never know...oh hang on, the chef is French.

I hate restaurants where they have the chef's name advertised at the restaurant with an '@'. Just seems so wky.
