My mum has just asked me if she can use MY computer! How dare she even contemplate such a thing

Anyway, I suggested that as she doesn't need the POWER of my machine, that I build her her own one and she agreed.

Problem.
She wants to use the internet which is BB, I always use the internet. PH is important you know. So I thought long and hard and need a router, preferably with a firewall in it but TBH i couldn't give a crap if it has one or not. The thing is I really can't be arsed running Cat5 all round the house to link her into the router which I will obviously lock in my cupboard so she can't play with it!

So, Are there any good Wireless routers around, will need matching LAN cards with a reasonable speed on them to keep up with the BB, or really fast and make BB look slow and a Ethernet port in the router so I can plug my X-Box in

TIA
Stuart!

just go on dabs

you'll be sorted for around £80 by placing the router near her desktop and cabling her (cable supplied) and using the card for you

Slow Wireless LAN == 11MBs (theoretical max)

Fast BB == 1MB.

You won't have problems keeping up with the BB (unless you're using a DECT phone and microwaving your lunch).
