Eratic Idling (Hunting) & Cuts Out

Hi Guys,

Had the Chim out for a drive today, after it had warmed up I noticed it wouldn't idle - just cut out at a set of lights.

On restarting the revs would jump up and down all over the place, before trying to settle around 1k, but cutting out.

Any ideas?

I guess the first place to look would be the stepper motor?
Unscrew it and clean it with carb-cleaner?

Any other suggestions?

Thats a good place to start, other easy checks are if the HT leads are seated properly and have a visual inspection of the rotor arm/ cap.
