I've often wondered that if I lived across the pond I wouldn't own a Passat,a Mini Cooper S and a Westfield!

I wonder what my daily drive, my Mrs' 'ride' and my weekend toy would be?

Forget the first two, Im sure they'd be pretty boring but as a weekend toy I suppose I'd have to have a V8, over here I like small, lightweight cars but I reckon I'd own something like this....muscley but still a bit sporty! wink

I know you can get Caterhams and Lotus' out there but I think the whole muscle car culture would draw me in! smile

I did live in the US for 6 yrs - and enormously enjoyed owning and driving my 2000 GT Mustang Covertible 4.6li. Purchased new for $29k (then £17k), I drove it for 75k in the US...then imported it when I returned to the UK, did another 60k in the UK over the next 5 yrs and then sold it for a shade under £4k. Doubt I will ever get as good value from another car...

A great car, took me all over the US and although it had tonnes of plastic everywhere, it had real character. With a flowmaster muffler, it sounded pretty splendid as well. I hope it is enjoying its cossetted retirement with its new owner smile

Missus would have a camero ss ( or bumble bee as she calls it)

I'd have a pick up truck with a V8 and a ford flex.

F350, a custom Super Bird and a Underground Racing Viper GTS TT. Oh and a lowrider Impala. And a modified Kenworth truck biggrin

I'd also have a few custom choppers.

God bless the US of A.

Almost forgot, a Classic Bronco with lift kit and the biggest V8 I could fit in it.

My mate lives in the States, and drives this as his daily, especially when he gets *feet* of snow in winter:

And this on highdays and holidays, to keep the Union Flag waving abroad:

This is going to sound very boring but I always fancied getting myself one of these if I lived in the States.

Dodge Intrepid

Also had one of these as a rental once and wouldn't have minded owning one.

Cadillac Deville

I know like I said very boring compared to all the Mustang's and F150 pickups but I just have a weird soft spot for everyday American cars. I suppose the novelty would wear off if I actually lived there though.

For general stuff:

For general hooning around:

For showing the Americans that a) a fast car can go round corners and stop, and b) "luxury" doesnt mean slightly less tinny plastic and more squishy suspension

You need to exclude California, because unless it's a Prius or a Tesla you won't be invited to any parties. Mind you, with a Tesla you probably wouldn't be able to drive there AND back anyway...
