My wife has had a lapse of two years without her own insurance,so does this mean that she no longer has her No claims bonus discount?
She has been on my car and my van as named driver,on mine.
I have just given her the Golf so she will need her own from now on.

probably lost her ncb as of right, but if named driver on another policy many will mirror it on a new policy.

2 years is the usual consensus however if you ring around you may find they'll accept it aslong as it isn't over 3 years.
As mentioned she may have built up a named drivers ncb however that is usually only accepted by the insurer the policy is with.

Aviva accepted mine which was almost 3 years out of date.
