Anyone know if a ford focus plays mp3 cd's?

I've got a long drive tonight in a 2007 (57) diesel focus. I want to make a cd. Do i play it safe and make a normal cd or take a chance it plays mp3 cd's and get a lot more music for my drive?

Make one of each? CD's are hardly expensive and one should always turn up with a backup plan.

EDIT: Just checked on Ford Owners, the answer is no, the 6000CD radio does not play MP3s.

I don't think it does, not sure if it matters but it doesn't say 'MP3' on your stereo.

The OE radio fitted to my '04 Focus does so certainly would expect newer models to.

There is also a lot of discussion about it not playing CD-Rs even if written as a 'normal' audio CD.

IME of these things your best chance is to write a normal audio CD but do it a low speed. I find disks written at up to 8x mostly work ok, go above that and it goes pear shaped. This is due to the different method used to write CDR's at the higher speed. The faster it writes the smaller the image (burn) onto the disk, and standard CD lenses dont like the smaller dots.
