Anyone have any experience of these days for just £39.00?

What does it involve and is it worth the time.

Also, is North Weald quite hard on the tyres - I seem to remember it being a concrete surface.

We did a BMW day there and they had two short timed circuit open and with about 25 cars and it was reall good value, almost as good as the proper training day but ith out the tutorials. Good chance to try the car and hang the arse out.

Not bad on tyres as not huge amount of miles done, unless you do donuts all day!

I've been on a lot of N Weald days, both the full-on 4 person days and these activity days. If you've never been on a track or airfield it's a great experience, you can drive as hard as you like and there's nothing at all to hit. It can be a bit hard on tyres but depending on your car just stick more pressure in (I took an Omega estate up there once, and had about 60psi in the things!!). Something like an MX5 will be okay on normal pressures, I added a few psi when I took the S2000 though.
The only downside is that there is a LOT of waiting, especially when doing the high speed bend in the first half of the day. You'll be sitting there for up to 20 mins, crawling forwards waiting your turn. There's just too many cars on the days unfortunately, but I suppose less cars would mean more money to pay.
