12,000 service

Anyone have a guide for the price of a 12,000 mile service. My little car has covered 46,000 and i have decided to have a 12,000 mile service at my local TVR dealer price quoted £770 is this the right price.

Independent specialists are generally cheaper than that, try looking up some websites, they quote prices.

I notice you're in the Cheshire area......might I suggest you look at SFR in Stockport (He advertises on here). Shane does fixed price servicing, a 12000 mile is £400 & vat.

I would also recommend Fernies, much cheaper than a main dealer and they do a very thorough job.

Had mine done a couple of months ago at Fernhurst. Think that it was £505 including everything.

My car (1998 Chim 4.0) has always been serviced there, including the previous owner and has never broken down since it left the factory so they must be doing something right! But they may be a little far for you. However I certainly wouldn't pay over £700!!

after a quote of that amount expect about £1200 as your final figure......as i learnt on my first 12,000 mile service at a TVR dealer

£597 inc vat.
Don't know the situation now they are on dealership notice from Blackpool

Theres a very helpful guy in Middlewich Cheshire called Ian who has left Chris Neils after 7 yrs and set up on his own specialising in TVR's and from today he's also an MOT station. I think he's around £300 for a 12k service.

SFR in Stockport have a god reputation and I think are quite local to you. £400+VAT for 12K service.

I'll second (or third?) SFR having used them for a while. The Chim is booked in for a 12,000 next week.

Now we know Shane is in fact the Almighty Im hoping it wont take him long to fix my electrical problem .

Got a fantastic job done at Central TVR in Stourbridge, West Midlands (an easy run down the M6 if such a thing exists!) and they came in at £380 all in including VAT for a 98 4.0 Chim.... cannot recommend them highly enough.
