Blew off the cobwebs in the DB9, fantastic day, only got a couple of laps in the morning before the fog really set in (good old Knockhill), it was interesting trying to judge the breaking distance when you could barely see the corner until it was on top of you smile. Few hairy moments until the red lights came on.

Fog cleared after an hour though and the rest of the afternoon was spent having a blast, well and truly cleared my girls throat now and despite the rather challenging conditions managed to stay on the track.

Roll on the summer and a lot more track fun. In fact may be treating myself this year to the DBS, have never liked the fade on the brakes on the DB9 once the heat sets in, in fact they completely disappear after about 12 laps. Quite like the idea of the carbon fibre discs in the DBS, no more, st! no brakes moments smile

Maybe didn't like it that much after all smile

Seriously though, you handled it well, you took me a couple of times. In my defence though I was struggling with brake fade a lot, may need a fluid change, left at the dealers on saturday night to get it looked at.

Forget the brake fade its a brave person to take out a DB9 yesterday in these conditions. It was very slippery I couldnt get any drive out of corners.

Struggled at first to get the heat in the tyres, was very skittish, once the track dried out a bit though she actually handled very well. Was quite impressed with her. Was ver slippery though, makes it that bit more challenging. No fun if you only ever drive in perfect conditions smile

Hi Chim, Motors,

I was in the black 911 on the foggy Knockhill last sat. It was good to meet you Chim, sorry I didn't get to meet you Motors. You both had very nice bits of kit, in the best colour, of course! I know there were a few photos taken around the track on the day, don't suppose either of you have found any posted up online?

Hopefully see you at the next one........

Cheers.

I was also there. It was my first track day and I totally enjoyed it smile. I was in the carbon grey Exige. I would also like to see the photos if anyone knows where to find them.

Cheers,

D G.

bounce thats me in the Aston, saw you in the second Vid as well Clive, good to see you pop up on here, good lurking by the way and welcome to your first post smile

Excellent bit of video, many thanks for that, looking at it now it kinda brings home how bad the conditions where, that said, at least the fog had lifted in this one, was a tad arse clenching for the first few laps in the morning smile

The Silver Evo in the second Vid was as mad as a box of frogs, chap had to pull out though as it overheated badly.

He certainly did, good driver and destroyed me, just got out his way. Has he picked up something else now its sold?

Out of interest, how much did he sell her for, looking for a track slag and something like this would fit the bill nicely.

I dont like to call it a slag wink but I might be considering selling my E36 M3 track car, its not up for sale yet but wont be getting much use if Im doing a season in the mini.
